Engineering Activities:
- Remove debugging and testing code from the software.
- Verify proper documentation of code library and that code follows the Coding Standard.
Quality Assurance Activities:
- Check that all defects on current defect list have been resolved.
- Smoke test/regression test final build.
- Link final build on web site.
- Download final build from web site.
- Run final build on clean machine.
Release Activities:
- Freeze final list of files to be distributed.
- Synchronize date/timestamp on all release files.
- Verify all files are present in distribution package.
- Create Installation program (Final Release only).
Documentation Activities:
- Verify User Manual is consistent with the current build.
- Link end-user documentationn web site
- Verify version of documents on website is consistent with the current build.
- Verify version of help files included in the distribution package is consistent with the current build.
Other Activities:
- Include IBM License Copyright text.
