Follow the link on the right to download it. Minesweeper presentation 9 03-04-10 Mutual Team Member Evaluations This week, we'll do the feedback on your team members. I'll have paper copies in class, but if you prefer an electronic version, follow the link here. If you want to wait so you can take into account the activities durign the last week, feel free to hand it in on Thu, March 11, or leave it in the department drop box. Mutual-Evaluation.xls 9 03-04-10 Optional Final Exam Quiz As discussed in class, you will have the opportunity to improve your score for the quizzes by taking an optional quiz during the final exam time. The quiz will be roughly twice as long as the other ones, and cover the material from the whole quarter. My intention is to let you take it to replace the two lowest scores from the weekly quizzes. I still need to figure out the exact modalities (it may be too complex for the Blackboard Grade Center). 8 02/24/10 Quiz Week 8 The quiz will be available during the lab time on Thu, Feb 25. 8 02/22/10 No class on March 9 On March 9, I'll be in the Bay Area for the 484 Class Excursion to Yahoo. 6 02/11/10 Quiz Week 5 The next quiz will be available during the lab time on Thu, Feb 11. 6 02/10/10 Deadlines for A3, A4 postponed As discussed in class, the new deadlines are Feb. 23 we for A3, and March 4 for A4. The latter is still in development, and only a partial description of the different options is available as of now. Assignment 3 Assignment 3 6 02/10/10 Project Grading Scheme Since we decided to skip the mutual team evaluations for the project, I have to adjust the calculation of the scores. So I've added 5 points to each of the milestones, giving them a weight of 15% towards the total project grade. 6 02/10/10 Blackboard Grades Another update of the grades, including the missing ones for A1. I've also added weighted totals for the quizzes, assignments, project, and overall score. There are occasional situations where Blackboard can't handle some of the calculations I'm doing in my spreadsheet. I'm trying to keep this to a minimum, but in the end, I'll use my spreadsheet for the final grade. 6 02/09/10 Slides Chapter 5 I've uploaded a revised version of the slides (also as .key file). Mostly minor changes. Slides directory 6 02/08/10 Blackboard Grades I've updated the grades on Blackboard. You'll find the scores for A1 (partial), A2 (those who have demoed), Project Week 2 and Week 4. 5 02/03/10 Quiz Week 5 The next quiz will be available during the lab time on Thu, Feb 4. 5 02/03/10 A2 Grading Scheme The grading scheme described in the assignment doesn't match the number of points indicated at the top (20 vs. 25). I'm converting the 20-point scale to a 25-point scale in my spreadsheet. If I already told you your score, it's on the 25-point scale. Originally I had five assignments in this course, and this must be a leftover. A2 Submission I've enabled the submission via Blackboard; see "Assignment Submission" in the menu on the left. If you're having problems with the I/O aspects of the assignment, you can request code from me that does most of that in exchange for a 10% penalty on the score. Please send me an email if you want that. Assignment 2 4 1/28/10 Quiz Week 4 The next quiz will be available during the lab time on Thu, Jan 28. 4 1/27/10 Deadline A2 Postponed to Tue, Jan 29 As mentioned in class, we've postponed the deadline for the first part of the family knowledge base until Tue, Feb 2. If you submit it by the original dealine (Thu, Jan 28), you get a 10% extra credit bonus. Assignment 2 A3 available The second part of the family relationships, Assignment 3, is now available. 3 01/21/10 A2 Sample Files The sample CLIPS files for Assignment 2 are now available. 3 01/20/10 Week 3 Quiz This is the quiz for the third week, with CLIPS/JESS as the main emphasis. It will be available on Thu, Jan. 21, from 4:30 - 6:00 pm. You are allowed to use reference material like notes, textbooks, or online documentation. You are not allowed to communicate with others, or use programs to determine the answers. 3 1/20/10 A2 Submission Deadline is Thu, Jan 28 I just saw that the A2 Description listed last year's deadline.
