WikiDea

A collaboration whiteboard for sharing and developing those random ideas.

So this project was thought of while I was walking one day. I realised that I have a lot of great ideas, but they never come to fruition. This seems to be a common problem. People, especially those who are in college, tend to come up with many world changing (and some not so world changing) ideas. But once they come up with these ideas, two things never happen. a) they don't remember them and b) they never share them with anyone.

Web2.0, is this amazing thing which promotes collaboration and aggregation of content. What I want to do is create a place that allows people to post their ideas, no matter how absurd, and then let others help them develop and act on these ideas.

A simple work flow may go like this:

  1. Think of idea
  2. post a quick blurb about the idea on WikiDea
  3. let user select whether or not they want help with this idea
  4. choose who they want to see the idea (friends, everyone, certain individuals, no one).
  5. If the user wants to expand on the idea, expand their "proposal" into a whiteboard/wiki type setting.
