The Islamic Center of the Central Coast is a non-profit
organization that follows the Qur'an and the Sunnnah of the Prophet
Muhammad (peace be upon him), and the Sunnah of the four Caliphs that
came after him. Its purpose is to serve the best interest of Islam and
the Muslims of the Central Coast, ranging from Paso Robles in the North
to Lompoc in the South, currently serving over 300 Muslims. The ICCC strives to
enable the Muslims to practice Islam as a complete way of life.
The ICCC has a Board of Trustees, Executive Committee and a number of
standing committees. The President of the Executive Committee is the
Amir of the ICCC. The standing Committees include the following:
The Islamic Center's main function is to provide the Muslims of the
Central Coast a masjid to perform the five daily prayers and Jum'ah
prayer.
Men halaqah after Magrib prayer on Saturday. There is also a
monthly picnic on the second Saturday of every month. The Islamic Center
also arranges the Eid prayers and picnics, Iftar every day of Ramadan
before Taraweh prayers. Islamic Marriage Ceremonies are also performed
by the Islamic Center Committee.

The Sunday Islamic School is located on the same building of the Masjid
at 679 Santa Rosa ST.
The School starts from 11am to 1:30pm. Its aim is to teach the children of the ICCC, ages 4 and
up, Arabic (the language of the Qur'an) and Deen (the Islamic
religion).
The Dawah Committee's goal is to desseminate information about Islam, to
build bridges with the People of the Book (i.e. Christians, Jews) and
all members of the human race. They are in charge of organizing
lectures and dialogs. They also distribute material about
Islam and Muslims. They have a Dawa booth every other Thursday in the farmer
market down town San Luis
The Medical committee is staffed with two physicians to give medical
advice and lectures concerning health.
We also have a Sr. Physician for the Sisters.
The Fund Raising Committee aim is to secure the financial stability for
the ICCC.
The Islamic Society of North America-Cal Poly (ISNA-CalPoly), The Muslim Student
Association (MSA) and the Association of Muslim Engineers and Scientists
(AMES) are
the representives on the Cal Poly campus for the ICCC. They promote
Islam through an information table every Thursday during University hour
in the University Union Plaza. They also arrange for speakers to give
lectures on campus.
