Common Errors in Structure Charts

Improperly placed vertical column of boxes. This is confused with a flowchart, attempting to show a sequence of operations. This is incorrect in a structure chart, where there is no attempt to show order. The vertical dimension in a structure chart represents decreasing levels of abstraction. The vertical boxes probably belong horizontally positioned beneath a box "Pump Gas".

Improper Decomposition. Pay Attendant is not "part of" Fill Gas Tank.
