The Engineering Student council represents the students within the College of Engineering to the Associated Students Inc.(ASI) , the community, and industry.

Our objectives are:

  • To improve the engineering experience at Cal Poly for Cal Poly students
  • To represent the interests of Cal Poly engineers through a unified force.
  • To provide opportunities for professional development and academic excellence
  • To encourage a sense of social responsibility among engineering students

Any and all Cal Poly engineers are welcome and encouraged to attend our meetings.

We are responsible for various large activities held for the College of Engineering. This includes National Engineers Week (February 2008, The Annual Awards Banquet that honors outstanding faculty, staff, and graduating seniors (Spring Quarte 2008), And Open House (Spring Quarter 2008). We are also a communications link between ASI and Engineering students.

ASI Board of Directors College of Engineering has six Representatives who attend both the ASI Board of Directors meetings (Wednesdays 5-7PM in UU220) and the Engineering Student Council meetings (Monday from 6-7PM in Bonderson 104) They make the decisions that will impact the entire University.

ESC is composed of the Executive Board, Commissioners, ASI Committee members, and one Senator from each Engineering Student Club.

Engineering Student Clubs The organizations are made up entirely of engineering students who have the ability to vote on ASI issues. That vote is then carried upward in the information flow by the Senators and onto the ASI Board of Directors through five Representatives.
