LaTeX to HTML Translator

Butler Industries, a fictitious company, requests proposals from interested software engineering firms for its LaTeX to HTML translator project. Your proposal must include the following sections:

  1. Management Overview

This section will describe your organization's structure, specifically listing the qualifications and experience of the personnel you will assign to the project.

  2. Project Overview

In this section, you will explain your current understanding of the project and provide an overview of how Butler Industries will use your software. We understand that you will develope a more in-depth understanding of the project requirements during the execution of the project, however, we are interested in seeing your current level of understanding.

  3. Estimated Cost and Schedule

In this section, you'll explain your cost estimating and scheduling approach and show the results of the approach as applied to this project. Be sure to include your work breakdown structure, critical path chart and Gantt chart.

  4. Deliverables List

Include a list of the documents you'll produce for this project and a delivery date for each.

We want this software to work in a Unix environment and have a command line interface. We'd like to be able to submit a LaTeX file to the translator and have it produce a valid Hyper-Text Markup Language file from it. The translator should produce a log file showing the results of each translation attempt. The translator should produce meaningful error message if it encounters an unexpected situation.

These requirements will, of course, be further refined during the project.

You Proposal is due on 29 Jan.
