cpe 580 - Probabilistic Robotics

The material of the course will cover statistics based robot strategies and methods used for autonomous robot navigation. Topics will include a review of statistics, motion modeling, sensor modeling, localization, Kalman Filtering, Markov Localization, mapping, and SLAM-Simultaneous Localization and Mapping. A lab component will comprise of real world robot localization and mapping experiments involving an underwater robot in the campus swimming pool and in the ocean.
