Software Engineering: Program Objectives


The Software Engineering objectives define what SE graduates can do after graduation and throughout their career.

These objectives are assessed by surveys and personal contacts with our Software Engineering graduates and their employers.

In the alumni survey (2008), the SE alumni evaluate their ability in all four as excellent or above.

The survey result average is shown using the scale: 3: good; 4: excellent; 5: extremely well

Software Engineer professionals

  1. Are successful professionals; some have successfully pursued graduate study. (4.6/5)
  2. Can apply the software engineering body of knowledge to software-intensive projects. (4.3/5)
  3. Can design and implement improvements in their organization's software processes. (4.4/5)
  4. Can specify and design complex software systems at the component and system levels. (4.7/5)
