Computer Science majors are expected to take 205-206 as a two quarter sequence, and thus should enroll in 205 during fall or winter quarters.

CPE 205 is no longer required for Computer Engineering majors (starting Fall 2003).

A "stand-alone" version of 205 is usually taught each spring which is recommended for CPE majors on the old curriculum. 

Some sections of 205 are run concurrently with sections of CSc 402 Requirements Engineering. In those sections 205 students work on teams alongside 402 students.  If you intend to be a Software Engineering major you must take one of those sections.
